Young at Heart
This group is aimed for the over 60’s. The session includes a light lunch, after which there are often quizzes; games; ‘thought for the day’; and regular reminiscence; sing-a-long; speakers and so much more. This is a time for making friends, feeling comfortable and having fun in a relaxed atmosphere. Members of the Young at Heart group are asked to make a contribution of £1.50 towards the cost of refreshments.
These events are held at the nearby IGNITE CENTRE.
They are a time when friends of differing faiths can come together to share their respective beliefs about a particular topic.
The events are usually accompanied with great food and sometimes cultural music items as well.
There’s no pressure placed upon anyone at all to participate in the discussions etc.
If you just want to come along and listen, enjoy making friendship and some great food then we’d love to welcome you.
Friday: 10-12PM (Ignite centre)
This is an informal drop in café aimed at reaching out to our local neighbours and community. We offer friendship and invaluable support and it is a wonderful opportunity to present the gospel in an informal way. Due to the challenges of the local area we also run a food bank that runs concurrently.
